Following a 21-year career in the British Royal Air Force Mike quickly established himself as an expert in managing major projects and programmes of up to US $100 million in value. The core disciplines of the majority of these projects have been Operational Resilience, Risk Management and Business Continuity. In recent years Mike has undertaken strategic roles in a range of sectors such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Energy Supply, Utilities and the Government Sector, building on his experience from the military and banking. Working in these varied sectors has allowed him to explore and further develop his Programme Management, Stakeholder and Change Management skills that have resulted in him being a highly successful and experienced consultant and interim director.
In addition to providing consultancy Mike has become a highly regarded coach, mentor and trainer in the field of Programme Management, Business Transformation, Operational Resilience, Business Continuity and Change Management. He is a trainer for the British Computer Society (BCS), the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and the British Standards Institute (BSI). His clients have included: Prudential, Royal Bank of Scotland, Pinkerton (Royal Commission Jubail, KSA), Eurocopter UK, General Electric Africa, Shell (Majnoon Iraq and Dubai), Occidental (Oxy Oman and Bahrain), Terraseis (oil and gas exploration Afghanistan), IBM India, G4S Risk Consulting, Credit Suisse, eBay China and DHL.
