Ian has been a member of the Business Continuity Institute since 1997 and was elected a Fellow in 2004. He is an internationally respected Business Continuity practitioner and a former member of the board of the BCI. He also held the position of Chair of Education at the BCI, is a contributing author for the BCI's Good Practice Guidelines and was on the committees which developed BS 25999 and ISO 22301/13.
Ian is able to illustrate his training with experience from working with organisations in many sectors including insurance, logistics, government and manufacturing. He has assisted many organisations with the implementation of BCM programmes through an appropriate mix of training, mentoring, consultancy and exercising.
His book "A Practical Approach to Business Impact Analysis" published by BSI 'might be destined to become the definitive guide on how to conduct an effective BIA' according to Lyndon Bird.
